Social Media Specialist (Contract)

OVERVIEW:

Chipperfield Media is currently seeking a contract Social Media Specialist who is a creative storyteller. The ideal candidate should be equal parts creative and analytical with outstanding copywriting and editing skills.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively and is familiar with the social media landscape.

The Social Media Specialist will work closely with our CEO. This is an excellent opportunity to join a talented team in a growing company. This position is a contract role and will require ~20-30 hours per month to start with a large potential for growth. This role is primarily virtual with occasional meetings in Portland, Or.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Drive the client onboarding process and strategy development

  • Create monthly content calendars

  • Create copy for social media posts for clients

  • Lead the execution of all social media activities for clients including scheduling posts, resizing images and creating advertising campaigns

  • Generate monthly social media analytics reports

  • Manage Influencer Marketing Programs

  • Additional tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Excellent project management and organization skills

  • Have strong editing skills

  • Critical thinker

  • Flexible work schedule to meet requirements

  • Must love being creative but also enjoy numbers and analytics

  • Have the ability to spot trends and create applicable content

  • Familiar Sprout Social, Loomly or similar platforms

  • Be an active user of a number of social media platforms and be passionate about social media for business

  • Have technical knowledge and understanding of social media metrics and be able to articulate their meaning

  • Be able to learn quickly and adapt to change in a fast paced environment

  • Have the ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines

  • Work well independently

  • Have a willingness to learn

  • Be a self-starter, result driven, independent thinker, and motivated to succeed

  • Be able to use creative thinking and initiative to analyze performance metrics and make recommendations on content, design, applications, etc.

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a copywriter or social media coordinator
